Babies

Sunday, January 31st, 2010

My daughter had her baby today. Things did not go as smoothly as they should have and she ended up having to have a c-section. Thankfully, both mom and baby are doing well now, and I am the proud Grandma of a 7lb. boy. He is absolutely beautiful, as is my daughter. I will be back and forth to the hospital for the next few days until she gets settled in at home.

Trust In Me

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter: “Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don’t fall into the river.” The little girl said:”No, Dad. You hold my hand.” “What’s the difference?” Asked the puzzled father.

“There’s a big difference,” replied the little girl. “If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go.”

In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold yours…

The Woman Behind The Mask

Monday, January 18th, 2010

The woman she is,
Deep to her core,
Hidden behind masks,
And many more.

To many she is one,
To others another,
A woman, a child,
Forever a mother,

To those she has taken,
Under her wing,
To give them hope,
A new song to sing.

And even as she reaches
Out to touch these souls,
Her teachings continue,
For that is her role,

In this time and space,
Though her own heart cries,
A deep, darkness prevails,
As she looks to the skies,

In hopes and dreams,
That her soul mate true,
Will feel her energy,
Through and through,

Touching his heart,
His mind and soul,
The depth of love,
To remember his goal,

To truly find,
Who this woman is,
Hidden and masked,
Her soul already his.

He is the only
One who will see,
The fullness of her bared,
Unmasked she be.

She will continue,
Day by day,
To reach out and teach,
In her heart will stay,

The strength and knowedge,
The ancient energy flows,
While the shimmering gold,
From heart to heart shows,

No matter how close,
No matter how far,
The glimmering chain,
From soul to soul are

Connected forever,
In ways they don’t understand,
She waits patiently,
As the winds take her hand,

Gently, sofly, caressing,
Soothing her aching heart,
Giving her strength to go on,
In this time they are apart.

Overview Of 2009

Monday, January 4th, 2010

I had moved to a beautiful area in Michigan.  Enjoyed living in a very small town for the past year, and had a lot of time to do some soul searching.  I do like to get lost in my thoughts and dreams, yet at the same time, it’s my thoughts and dreams that create my reality.

I didn’t do much work while I was there, so in a way I guess it was like an extended vacation.  Towards the end though I got quite ill and my son came to stay with me.  If it had not been for him I probably would have withered away to nothing.

I currently am back in Columbus.  My son loaded everything and hauled the Uhaul for me because I was still sick when I moved.  I am back with my regular doctor now and things are getting sorted and I am feeling much better.

Also, my daughter is still here in Columbus and is expecting at the end of January.  As far as we know, we are having a boy whose name is Jayden.  I have been having fun buying baby items, and it’s all been quite exciting for me.  She is ready to have the baby now though, she is tired of being pregnant. LOL

I am looking forward to 2010.  There will be a lot of changes, all for the best, and a positive mind I will keep for myself, family, and friends.
